Climat is a wine-led restaurant and bar on a rooftop in Manchester City Centre.

Our mostly French menu is overseen by Head Chef, Chris Trundle (Lyles, Brawn), whilst our much-celebrated cellar is managed by Oliver Fletcher and Daniel Nuttall, whose 400+ strong list focuses on Burgundy and Champagne from small growers, as well as terroir expressive wines from thoughtfully minded producers of Europe and beyond.

We endeavour to keep our wine selection accessible and approachable, full of less familiar regions, varietals and styles, but with the depth to indulge in some of the world’s most iconic bottles from renowned and storied producers.

Climat was opened in 2022 by winemaking graduate, Christopher Laidler. After realising he’d make a terrible winemaker, and a stint in the trade, his passion for the subject turned towards restaurants in 2016, with his first wine focused destination, Covino, in the historic city of Chester.
